Victoria Farley studied Computer Visualisation and Animation at the National Centre for Computer Animation at Bournemouth University where she graduated with a bachelor degree in 2008. She is presently working at local animation company: Flickerpix. Victoria has contributed to a number of projects whilst there, including a high-profile animation for Comic Relief 2009 which was to promote malaria awareness. This animation was directed by Richard Curtis and was viewed by over 10 million people! At Flickerpix she is currently working on the animated series “Wee Wise Words” for the BBC which is currently airing. Over the summer Victoria was briefly working as an art department assistant in the paint hall during the production of Universal Studio’s film “Your Highness”.
Victoria’s work consists of animation, visual effects, matte paintings and illustrations. She combines all of these in her work and uses a variety of computer software. She is inspired by everyday observations as well as short stories and books.
Victoria enjoys working as part of a team as well as individually and has been involved in a number of group projects, including creating a short horror movie.
Victoria is eager to share knowledge and has taught at a number of workshops about the process of creating animations.
